Here are some impressions from our first press conference for the World Championship 2025.
On November 20, 2024, we had the opportunity to present our “Ice Stock World Championship 2025,” sponsored by Stiegl, in the Skyroom of the Styria Media Center in Graz and to outline our goals. The morning went smoothly, allowing us to provide invited representatives, guests, sponsors, and members of the press with a comprehensive overview of the event. We discussed both organizational details and the schedule for the championship in depth.
In attendance were department heads Harald and Anita Wade, Wolfgang Schwinger, and DI (FH) Gerhard Orthaber, as well as BÖE representative Thomas Pompernigg. Our sponsor Stiegl was represented by Thomas Gstaltmaier and Alice De-Souza.
The athletes themselves were also present: Chiara Wade, Kerstin Fischerauer, and Mario Weingartmann.
The entire morning was moderated by Maximilian Schuc.
From November 22nd to 24th, the Europe Cup took place in Bruneck, marking a significant event in the calendar of ice stock sports. During these exciting days, we had the opportunity to promote our upcoming World Championship and generate interest for this fantastic event!
We are particularly pleased to announce that the IFI flag is now on its way to Styria, symbolizing the anticipation and unity within our community.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the medal winners! Your dedication and achievements serve as an inspiration to us all.
Let’s work together towards a successful World Championship!
In Stanz, construction progress is moving ahead swiftly!
The company GRANIT is currently working on leveling the long jump runway, which is a significant step towards completion.
The impressive tent, measuring 130 meters in length and 15 meters in width, will accommodate up to 2.000 enthusiastic spectators. This capacity will create a vibrant and exhilarating atmosphere where fans can cheer with full emotion. For the athletes, the long jump runway offers a length of 120 meters and a width of 7 meters. This ensures optimal conditions for competitions and allows the athletes to reach their full potential.
We are eagerly looking forward to the upcoming events and are confident that both participants and spectators can expect unforgettable experiences!
